What is it to live in this life

What is it to live in this life?
Compost, embedded complex systems
I used to ask about this, having grown up in a catholic system.
Science, religion, Christ, football, competition.
A murdered Jesus constantly on display.
One would be condemned to hell for not being mindlessly enslaved to the authority of the unknowable father.
A mind fucking double bind.
The core of slavery. It has harmed so many.
Not the way of the Christ at all.
I left school very confused and questioned this deeply.

The hard Question.
This led to two Questions.
What does life ask of us? What is it about this earth that all living things have in common?
The answer was within the Question, the question it is the key!
-- Life asks us to live in awareness.
-- All living things must take the life of another to live.
-- We are all food to this life process.
This became the basis for my living ethos.
If we are to continue evolving in this paradise we must honor life.
And honor our food.
Relies that our shit is sacred and own it.
Care for her and all her creatures.
Eat and be eaten in awareness.
Its all we need to do.

Wood Gass Stove

This is a small wood gas stove, it pyrolysis the fuel (wood chips) giving heat and leaving charcoal. it holds about 200g chips, boils 1lt water in 7 minutes and burns for about 20 minutes, leaving charcoal for the composting process.
I'm Learning about the carbon cycle and how much energy this culture wastes.
Charcoal added to humanur composting may fix a large amount of carbon into active earth nutrients, might be the secret of Tera preta.
more stoves to follow.

Christina Georgina Rossetti

Tread softly!
All this earth is sacred ground.
It May be, could we look with seeing eyes.
This spot we stand on is a paradise;
Where dead have come to life and lost been found,
Where faith has triumphed, martyrdom been crowned,
Where fools have foiled the wisdom of the wise;
From this same spot the dust of saints may rise,
And the kings prisoners come to light unbound.
O earth earth earth. hear now thy makers words;
"Thy dead thou shall give up, nor hide thy slain"-
Some who went weeping forth shall come again
Rejoicing from the east or from the west
As doves fly to their windows, loves own bird
Contented and desirous to the nest.

Temple of The Sacred Ego - Spirit Eaters

Something that happened a wile back.

Eagle May 17, 2007

On Tuesday at work Two Wedge tailed Eagles flew over. One was downed by a couple of hawks. I don't know what happened to the other. I contacted wires and a lady turned up with a couple of blankets, (I think they need more resources). I then spent a while talking to and calming this huge scared injured bird walking with her through and around paddocks, Getting closer. Eventually I got close enough to capture her.

We took her/him, I'm going to call it her. We took her to the vet rolled in a blanket. The Bird had an old wound on the wing the elbow joint, this wound the hawks had attacked to bring her down. She had a lice lode, she looked exhausted . I left as they were going to ex ray her, thinking she was in good hands. Later on I heard that the vet had put her down.. justifying it with,,,,

..There was damage in the wing, it did look like the other,,,, What type of life would this animal have,,,,

I am hurt deeply by this, look at this picture! Her wings are up!

A couple of years ago I found a Rosella on the roadside flapping and in shock, I took It to the same vet,

Do you know what they said,,, Its got a damaged wing, wires normally put them down,,,, We would have to bind it, it would be difficult,,,, It may never fly again,,,,, What type of life would it have,,, You need a license to have a captive native bird ,,, ,,, ,,,etc....

I took the parrot home he lived on the curtain rail floor and chair backs and in spring when I opened up the house he flue away.......

So today &Tonight I sit hear and think of this vet the Eagle and wires and my giving my power away.....

Its no good crying over spillt milk. The Eagle is a symbol of power, I knew in my inner heart and promised her that we would look after her when I was trying to capture her, I knew what should be done....And when I caught her I gave her to another who seemed to have more authority than me......

IF I had honored my promise to and of my own power I would have taken her to a cage no more than 200m from where she fell and looked after her with the help of the farm manager for the winter.

I am sure she would have flown again.

A lessen on how easy it is to give up ones own inner heart felt authority and power to others that only wear a badge of authority and have no true training or commitment.

Temple of the Sacred Ego

Shaman what is this beating of the drum, the dance of the circle, the smudge of the smudge, this ancient fire light with sanitized vision quests. whats this sacred thing you talk about!

Shaman do you take time to learn & relearn the language of the animals?
Have you held an eagle, do you talk with the birds, do you know there language. Could this language be of chemistry love and time.. Do you truly understand that we are all brothers or do you own a cat!

Shaman have you spent time with the plants and learnt there way.
Do you know the dance of chemistry, the cycle of the elements.
Do you know how to produce your own food.. This be truly sacred self!

Shaman do you know death, Has a loved one died in your arms.
Have you breathed and pumped life into another and watched him in his eyes and seen him struggle as he dies, only to live again. Have you died yourself!

Shaman have you been in the eye of a storm, danced with lightning on a mountain top, swum in the desert. Have you lived alone for an extended time!

Shaman Do you tend the sick and frail when your spells can’t cure, or do you hide them behind glass walls in the temple of the soul!

Shaman truth need no words. Do you give honour to your words of love and friendship or leave that for others to do. Do you judge another according to their truth or judge to bind in serving the temple of your ego. Do you serve your shaman way or cheaply use this truth!

Shaman when truth is murdered in the temple of the ego of another.
Stop stomp and listen as the ego corridors shatter.

Shaman do you truly hold all this earth as mother sister brother daughter son.

Parrot

Many people will walk in and out of your life,
But only true friends will leave footprints
in your heart.
To handle yourself, use your head;
To handle others, use your heart.
Anger is only one letter short of danger.
If someone betrays you once, it is his fault;
If he betrays you twice, it is your fault.
Great minds discuss ideas;
Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.
He who loses money, loses much;
He who loses a friend, loses much more;
He who loses faith, loses all.
Beautiful young people are accidents of nature,
But beautiful old people are works of art.
Learn from the mistakes of others.
You can’t live long enough to make
them all yourself.
Friends, you and me…
You brought another friend…
And then there were 3…
We started our group…
Our circle of friends…
And like that circle…
There is no beginning or end…
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is mystery.
Today is a gift.

Leaves of Grass Walt Whitman

What chemistry!
That the winds are really not infectious,
That this is no cheat, this transparent green-wash of the sea which is
so amorous after me,
That it is safe to allow it to lick my naked body all over with its
tongues,
That it will not endanger me with the fevers that have deposited
themselves in it,
That all is clean forever and forever,
That the cool drink from the well tastes so good,
That blackberries are so flavorous and juicy,
That the fruits of the apple-orchard and the orange-orchard, that
melons, grapes, peaches, plums, will none of them poison me,
That when I recline on the grass I do not catch any disease,
Though probably every spear of grass rises out of what was once
catching disease.

Now I am terrified at the Earth, it is that calm and patient,
It grows such sweet things out of such corruptions,
It turns harmless and stainless on its axis, with such endless
successions of diseas'd corpses,
It distills such exquisite winds out of such infused fetor,
It renews with such unwitting looks its prodigal, annual, sumptuous
crops,
It gives such divine materials to men, and accepts such leavings from
them at last.

Walt Whitman introduction to the first edition of Leaves of Grass.

Love the earth and sun and the animals,
Despise riches,
Give alms to everyone that asks,
Stand up for the stupid and crazy,
Devote your income and labour to others,
Hate tyrants,
Argue not concerning God,
Have patience and indulgence toward the people,
Take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men,
Go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with mothers of Families,
Read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life,
Re-examine all you have been told at school or church or in any book,
Dismiss whatever insults your own soul;

and your flesh shall be a great poem, and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body.

Beannachtaí an tSéasúir,

May you be blessed with discomfort
at easy answers, half-truths, and
superficial relationships,
so that you may live deep
within your heart.
May you be blessed with anger
at injustice, oppression, and
exploitation of people,
so that you may work
for justice, freedom and peace.
May you be blessed with tears to shed
for those who suffer from pain,
rejection, starvation and war,
so that you may reach out your hand
to comfort them
and to turn their pain into joy.
May you be blessed with enough foolishness
to believe that you can make
a difference in this world,
so that you can do what others
claim cannot be done.
Amen.

Husband The Earth

The question keeps coming up.
"How can we care for all the children of all the species for all time",
William Donaugh.
My question is, How can we care for this earth and all her creatures?
The answer is simple really.
Care for this earth and all her creatures.
The practice the way is difficult in this day.
I used to use a mantra - I am the earth, when I first started to query what she was about.
What I have noticed is that as I ask this question every day my perceptions are changing.
A lot of what I used to find satisfying important for human life is now just so vile and sickening.
I have become the earth and I feel sick at what we do.
Its strange and sacred, She is always talking silently in us.
If we would only listen we would know what to do.
She loves us so much.
please open your heart and know
its in thy thymus

Bees CCD & GMO

Dear Friends,

I am rather confused and concerned by the disappearing Bees around the Globe and our responses. Bees are kind of special, a canary in a haystack, a keystone specie. There seems to be a connection between certain insecticides used in almost all horticulture situations, from urban gardens, golf courses to commercial agriculture and GMOs.

Bees don’t do to well in genetically modified crops that express insect toxins. e.g. bt cotton, canola.

The countries using GM crops linked with systemic insecticides are having staggering Bee losses. It is known as CCD colony collapse disorder.

Australia is spared this blight at present. We use these Insecticides but as yet don’t have widespread GM crops expressing insect toxins. This is Changing Quickly.

FSANZ is asking for public submissions on the release of these lethal corporate bio-engendered money spinners.

My dilemma is this. I don’t feel confident or understand the process involved in creating and submitting this information to FSANZ or other authorities. I do feel it is extremely important to do so.

I am asking for a call of solidarity, a call to arms or maybe a whimping plee for help.

Is there anyone interested in gathering collating and creating a submission?

Please contact me if interested in doing something about this.

Permablitz, community sharing

Cob

Permablitz Southern Highlands

Let no one be discourage by the thought of how much there is to learn...
For the first steps are steps into a delightful unknown..
The first successes are victories all the happier for being scarcely expected
and with the growing knowledge comes the widening outlook and the comforting sense of an ever increasing gain of critical appreciation.
Each new step becomes a little surer and each new grasp a little firmer,
Till little by little comes the power of intelligent combination.
The nearest thing we can know to the mighty force of creation.

Christian slavery

Shame June 27, 2007

http://culturematters.wordpress.com/2007/06/25/a-new-paternalism-for-aborigin...

http://www.westender.com.au/stories.php?s_id=595

We have dis-empowered these people completely, pushed them onto the rubbish dumps of our cultural refuse.

We have stolen there land, raped there children, sold them into Christian slavery, abused them, murdered them, diluted there spirit with ours (petrol)

We have projected our shadow of hatred on them. and still do

We have treated them worse than dogs and vermin, and still do.

We have taken advantage of them, using them for our political gains

We destroy all other cultures in serving our Christian greed.

Then blame them for there destruction!!

To continually treat others less than human creates less than human others

The only shame is in us who judge without recourse to truth

We call ourselves Christian and demand others accept cultural enslavment.

Lets give ourselves a pat on the back.

* Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.

* Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.

* Avoid petty laws and useless officials.

* Balance personal rights with social duties.

* Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.

Vermiculture - Aquaponics.

A semi closed organic food system created in a minimal space intergrating vermiculture and aquaponics - using organic and Permaculture principles.

The goal is to cycle nutrients solid and liquid through a combined aquaponics and vermiculture system to grow food for the table. Recycle organic food and organic matter. Possibly produce Vermicompost and liquid fertilizer.

Musings
Worms produce nitrogen rich liquid and solid products suitable for growing plants, are a rich protein source.
Fish eat worms and also produce nitrogen.
Plants use nitrogen.
Hydroponic gravel beds act as filters removing particles and nutrients.
I Eat fish plants and worms (sometimes).
What type of fish?
Commercial home size aquaponic systems take about the space of a double garage and are claimed to feed a family of four.

“What permaculture designers are doing is the most important activity that any group is doing on the planet.

We don´t know what will be the details of a truly sustainable future,

but we need options,

we need people experimenting all types of forms

and permaculture designers are one of the crucial groups who are doing this."

A Crude Awakening The Oil Crash

What about a Stone Age Diet
Simple food grown in a simple way, organic permanent agriculture at the back door.
It would seem it's the best option for our health and that of this earth.
If I were to take food from another to live - ethics of my dog and all other animals.
If I were to take food from another to fuel my lifestyle/car - ethics of greed
If I were to make war on another to fuel my economy - ethics of the beast
I cannot justify slavery, Or justify calling myself a Christian.
I drive a car and sometimes walk.
I live in comfort, yet I am impoverished.
I realise this in a sea of madness.

Shareing

Sharing

What is it to share?
We talk of it a lot.
Give great emphasis in teaching our children.
Why have so many of us grown up unable to share!!!
What is so important about status and the BMW?
What is so important about that dollar?
What is so important about your last dollar in a sharing society?

Have we forgotten something in growing up?
How often do we get together to share.
A morning with the neighbour in the garden making a compost heap, then a shared lunch.
The imagination is the limit.
I see a lot of churches being built.

Try it out. Just spend a week offering to share your time energy,
without the expectation of reciprocity.
Ask people to share some of there energy
Spend a week randomly sharing
Vertically as well as horizontally
What is the result.

Authority & Personal Power

Authority & Personal Power

Authority of Being!

Serving - being Authority OR Autonomous Authentic Being

We have all been dis-empowered as spiritual beings and we mindlessly dis-empower others in an attempt to experience some sense of our lost power. (Spirit eaters) Yet to dis-empower another is to dis-empower ourselves. (A circle of hell)

Why is this! Would we not gain more by empowering others.
Why have we been conditioned to serve in a bulling Patriarchal Hierarchy, which takes all and gives trinkets.

It goes deep its embedded in our language!
Deception destroys belief!!
Violence destroys language!!!

True authority does not steal bully belittle ostracizes criticize or make negative of others....

You will do as I do!
You will follow if you have belief in me.
I will follow you if I have belief in you.
Live your life in truth
Allow me the same

The Germans are good people.....
How on earth did they justify Hitler?
The Christians are Good people.....
How on earth do they justify war?
They say Scientist are good people.....
How on earth do they justify slavery?

What are we doing when we give our individual power to another
or worse still an impersonal disorganization?

Taxes Fueling Climate change

Climate change is the most serious challenge facing the planet. However, governments in Australia continue to spend twenty-eight (28!) times more taxpayer’s money on fossil fuels such as coal, oil and gas than they put into renewable energy like solar and wind. We think it’s time to give renewables a fair go!

Will you help us put an end to this decade-long misuse of our tax dollars? Sign the petition asking new Treasurer Wayne Swan to take decisive first steps in this May’s Federal Budget, replacing handouts to antiquated fossil fuels with clean energy investment!

Sign the petition

We’re talking about $803 per average taxpayer fueling climate change. An independent academic report we commissioned has uncovered some of the dirty details, many of which were buried under technical jargon and hidden in different government policies…

Perhaps the most scandalous waste of money uncovered is a $308 million dollar annual tax break for multinational coal companies to cover their fuel bills. This single handout alone is more than the entire amount the Federal Government invests in renewable energy. Considering some of these companies have profits in the billions, and their executives are paid eight figure salaries, the question must be asked: why are our hard-earned taxes icing their cake – and fueling climate change at the same time?

Together, we can change this. Australians elected Kevin Rudd and Labor in part because they said they were serious about tackling climate change. But considering the powerful vested interests involved, there is no guarantee they will automatically break with Howard’s legacy of funding climate change. Let’s show we, the people, can be powerful too.

Spend a few seconds signing the petition and let the new Treasurer Wayne Swan know you don’t want your taxes fueling climate change. It’s urgent, as there is less than 10 weeks to the budget in May.

Sign the petition

We’ll be delivering the petition to Treasurer Swan next month and we’re working hard to expose this issue in the media – but the best way to get attention is to have thousands of Australians onboard. Adding your voice to the petition – and sharing this with your friends and colleagues – will make all the difference.

Sign the petition

Hundreds of thousands of Australians are reducing their personal impact on the climate. All we’re asking of our Government is to match our level of concern and make sure our taxes are supporting the clean energy solutions, not the problem.

Thanks for being involved,

Julien Vincent

Sacred Fruit - Sacred food

Food is sacred.
Why have we forgotten.
That it is our body's way of connecting with this earth.

I do not understand how people have become so blind to this life, so disconnected from this earth.
Not understanding why processed food causes disease, taking the media as some form of truth, eating from McDonald's, accepting product marketing, thinking the products sold at supermarkets have any thing to do with food.

I'm doing a Permaculture design course. I did it about twenty years ago, I'm doing it again.
I have been making a living as a gardener for the last twenty years.
I understand what it is like to tend a garden.
To take a ripe natural peach from a tree and eat it.
It is the most connected spiritual experiences apart from good sex and meditation that I Know.

Maybe most people have never experienced eating with a friend or a stranger from a common tree, or experienced offering the fruit to the universe before eating it.
Maybe most people aren't sensitive enough to experience the light stream from the fruit as they hold it high offering it.
Maybe our deep conditioning has broken our connections.
To offer a fruit then eat it yourself surly has undertones of taboo!
Why have we forgotten how sacred our food is, our connection with this earth?

For this reason alone it is important to grow and engage in this cycle of life.
To practice in some way in developing local community.

alienation

alienation

"A new scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die". Max Planck

What if we could reason ?

The love of power - The power of love
reciprocal altruism - tribal cohesion
community - shopping centers
authority - personal power
brains - consciousness
automata - autonomy
religion - churches
society -
genes
culture - memes

What’s the relationships?
Which is the odd one out?

mind filtering input

Where am I going here, This has been circling in my head for a number of years. I read a lot of article's in the enquiring press, I know others are dealing with the same questions.
I, self, consciousness, other.
Language is a good tool ,It can free as well as bind.
sooner or later it devours itself, tail first.
It is so easy to do it badly, magic when it works.

I meet so many people conditioned to the extent that.......
In Woolworth's especially
Do cats experience thirst and desire consciously to decide to drink, or are they only automata following there instincts
Do we.
Why does the scientific community have trouble with this.
They don't eat there cats.

Are we aware that what we see in the moment happened a moment ago. we project a moment before that into our experience to give continuity.
What we think we experiences, is a projection from the past.
i.e. experience is being created from a memory store, continually updated.
In short its an illusion.
It takes time for something new to get to awareness.
If we don't stop to process this we are living in the past. nothing new happening.
I only see a problem with this when I'm in Walworth's or with my family.
I find it hard to understand how that mentality came to be.

Tell people something they know already and they will thank you for it.
Tell them something new and they will hate you for it. monbiot.

Why we have become so impatient, blind to the way we process information. That it's a representations of reality not reality.
OR are we only now becoming aware.
Are there really so many asleep people getting around , unconscious automata doing as there biological cultural familiar conditioning processes, without a thought as to what is happening in the culture and in there own head.
With all the schools around - we have a major problem
madness - conflicts with conditioning awareness and knowledge.

Church of reason
church of god
church of dorkins
church of industry
Church of commerce

They are all in error for a single common reason. hierarchical systems of spiritual social & cultural enslavement

It is possible to break the conditioning of the society the market the churches and years of blind cultural evolution
but there is a price.

I need to share this

Life is One.

What is lost?
What can be found?

I have grown up in a culture dominated by the Roman Catholic church
and it effects on me/us has been Quite profound, not always for the better, and often for the worst.

Life is One not two. one universe, one earth, one I, and only one I.
Just look around. how many I's do you know?

My soul was stolen by the church before I realized their way is false. You know the story. God in heaven has your soul in safe keeping for you and you will be reunited with it when you die. Only if you have done the right thing during life will you reclaim it. Otherwise the devil will have it forever in hell. Yeah that's a lot of pretty heavy conditioning to lay on a six year old. Keeps the church in power and us slaves.

So the church had stolen my soul as a child and cast it away in gods name.
When I woke up to this I started to wonder what was going on. After long and deep questioning I decided to take a tour of hell to find out what had been stolen. And you know what I found? That there is light in them there shadows. Something more precious than the finest
gold and gems . I found myself, neither good nor bad, but purely divine, the truth of my being. I found an ancient God who has been conned and is incredibly angry.
I found that life is multidimensional, three physical three etheric and three archetypal dimensions. I found that we can be alive and consciouses in all, that is our major task in life, to bring heart imagination and desire into harmony.

I also met a angel, the conscious self of this earth, she is beautifull, we know her as Gaea. She loves us more than anything, she has worked so hard to give us birth, and we piss on her, like we are truly asleep, wetting our bed as children in the dark.
It is time to wake!
She only wants one thing from us.
To live in conscious awareness of our life together.

By caring for her and all her creatures and enjoying ourselves with her, she speaks to us constantly. Open your ears your eyes your heart and your body, to hear her. Care for her as she cares for you/us. Eat and be eaten, for this is her way and we are part and the whole of her, not just us but all life. It is the only way to move through this realm .............
That enough for now.. Work the rest out for yourself.

Enjoy your life

Forrest

Forrest

The way we stand you can see

We have grown up this way together

Out of the same soil, with the same rains,

Leaning in the same way towards the sun...

And we are various and amazing in our verity and our differences multiply.

So that edge after edge of the endlessness of possibility is exposed.

You know we have grown this way for years and to know purpose you can understand.

Yet what you fail to know we know and the knowing is in us.

How we have grown this way, why we are shaped this way. the way we are.

Not all straight to your purpose.

How each cell, how light and soil is in us.

How we are in the soil, how we are in the air

How we are both infinitesimal and great and how we are infinitely without any purpose you can see

In the way we stand each alone.

Yet none of us separable....

All exquisite as we stand

Each moment headed in this cycle

No detail unlovely
